Twenty-two
years of flowers.
Ines Garstecki · Founder & lead designer
Ines grew up in a German village surrounded by the family flower-breeding greenhouses — a place where the names of varieties were the first vocabulary she learned.
After formal floristry training in Europe and time with several European masters, she moved to Los Angeles in the early 2000s. In 2003, Flowermaid was born — a small weekly delivery operation run from a studio she shared with one other designer.
The wedding work followed quickly. Word travelled — first among brides, then among the planners and venues who asked for her by name. Twenty-two years on, the studio has executed several hundred weddings and several hundred more events of every imaginable kind.
What hasn't changed: every project is personally designed by Ines. The studio intentionally stays small — three to four weddings a month at peak, never overlapping — so the person you meet is the person designing your flowers.
What has changed: the rooms are larger, the installations more architectural, the partnerships with growers deeper. But the question at the start of every project is the same: what should this feel like?
" We don't focus on one style. We can build simplistic contemporary, loose vintage-inspired, or lush English garden — whatever your day actually wants to be. "
